Greyson - Baby

How thankful and joyful am I about this little guy? Let me count the ways. He's adorable and beautiful, content, peaceful, and calm. And taking his photograph was hands down the highlight of my day. Plus, babies just smell good and make cute faces and spit up at the most inconvenient times. But there's a lot more to Greyson than that. In an unexpected turn of events, he's the whole reason I was able to make the switch from corporate-work-your-hiney-off world to pursuing photography and finding fulfillment. It was because of this beautiful baby that life is gradually finding balance and peace and joy again.

It was my pure pleasure to photograph Mom, Dad, and baby last week. You were all so relaxed and natural. I loved documenting your daily life with Greyson. And I am so, so grateful to for the opportunities and encouragement you've provided and continue to give. Your family is so awesome - I can't wait to watch Greyson grow!

Miranda & Tyler - Preview

What a celebration yesterday! Crazy-beautiful, joyful, tear-filled (yep, that was me, sniffling and biting my lip during the father-daughter dance) and gracious - (her parents were the sweetest, most kindred hosts). The entire day was filled to the brim with love - parents, grandparents, and friends - all so supportive of Miranda and Tyler. They were absolutely immersed in it. It was a great honor to be part of something so special. Thank you for the wonderful day, and congratulations Miranda and Tyler. Happy honeymooning!

This is just a sneak peek. Like an itty-itty-bitty sneak peek so the bride and groom can enjoy a few shots before they're off on their adventure. Hello insanely gorgeous dress. And fabulous shoes. And the bride - are you kidding me? This is my job? Yes, please!

Heather & Jim - Wedding

What a blessing to be a part of such beautiful weddings this summer! Yesterday I had the joy of shooting with Adrienne Doring of Magnified Moments Photography. She asked if I'd be interested in assisting at Heather & Jim's celebration - absolutely! Sacred ceremony, happy friends and family, and one big party - yes please! Heather and Jim were so wonderfully happy together. During toasts, the Best Man and Maid of Honor spoke about the careful time and planning the bride and groom take when making decisions (ice cream flavors, buying a new television - you name it - there was research, reflecting, second opinions). And for both of them, choosing their future spouse - their lifetime-forever-one-of-a-kind love - was an incredibly special, meticulous, and thoroughly thought out decision. It shows. Their smiles, the laughter. So natural, uninhibited. It's easy to see they made the right choice.

The reception was a blast. I have to give a quick shout out to everyone who contributed because the party went without a hitch. The caterers were warm and generous. Brides, if you're still looking Kansas City Catering won't disappoint. And the band, AnnaLee and the Lucky So and Sos rocked it - the dance floor was crammed all night.

Thank you Adrienne - it was wonderful working with you and it was so fun capturing the day from another angle. Congratulations Heather and Jim - many, many happy years ahead!
